Junction Multipliers

24th-26th, May 2019, Stockholm

Junction Multipliers are previous grantees or those who are in the conversation for future grants who are community-builders and innovators that want to grow themselves and their projects and help move the Jewish world around them.

Lagom: Swedish word meaning just the right amount, the perfect state of equilibrium. MULTIPLIERS will take the best in the field and lead participants through an intensive three days balancing big-picture thinking about the Jewish world and where we want to go taking practical tools for the communities each one represents. Together will explore existing models in the Jewish world, challenge them, and thinking of the possible ones for the future. Using soft skill-building tools and a tradition of Jewish innovation participants will be inspired to create change back at home and have a deep awareness of how what they do contributes to the larger whole.

Participation fee for the seminar: 60 USD

Who?

You can apply if you are a previous grantee or in a conversation for a future grant. If you are not, you have to be referred by either a previous grantee or a JDC staff member. In the application process, you have to name who referred you.

We are looking for open-minded leaders, who are interested in shaping the young adult agenda in their own community and in Europe.

Why?

Every MULTIPLIER represents an infinite potential future and the investment in them will be treated as such. A program that will draw from Scandinavian design to create an experience that wows and moves. Participants will deeply understand how their individual programs push the work of building a more, diverse, exciting, Jewish world and how their work with each other advances their visions. We will ensure participants are left with a road map for scaling and an understanding of the agenda they’re working towards. The network participants will leave with a will, strengthen their resolve and inspire them throughout their creation and execution processes.

How?

MULTIPLIERS will take the best in field and lead participants through an intensive three days balancing between dreaming, doing and thinking about the big picture in the Jewish young adult world and where we want to go.

What?

3-day seminar working on a two-pronged approach of helping grantees with their individual projects and building together a foundation of what the young adult agenda is and how they can progress that conversation in their local communities.

Stockholmers call their city ‘beauty on water’. But despite the well-preserved historic core, Stockholm is no museum piece: it’s modern, dynamic and ever-evolving.

Across the city, world-class museums and galleries inform and provoke, harboring everything from glittering Viking treasures and an ill-fated warship, to Abba props and subversive contemporary art.

Stockholm’s sense of style is legendary. Here, good design is not a luxury, it’s a right – even the humblest coffee shop is usually designed literate, from its lighting right down to its cups, bowls, and cutlery.
